For example, Halbenet, the Cleric, has a chance to heal a random ally every time he moves. It's actually quite clever how the indicator of success was implemented, which is via a d20 die. As you may have noticed, when selecting your hero's basic attack skill you'll see a dice symbol on the upper right. When this symbol turns red, it means that extra effect we've been talking about will trigger. Also, there's absolutely no autoplay whatsoever, and we cannot begin to describe how much this feels like a breath of fresh air. It's depressing to say it, but actually playing a game on mobile actually feels very refreshing and we enjoyed thinking up new strategies each round. Complete a level and you'll earn a chest, which will shower you with Gems and equipment. You can then equip your heroes to increase their power, provide them with new skills, and level them up before heading out for another battle. Especially for entry-level and older devices. When you level up a hero, you gain "Renown". You can see your Renown level on the upper-left corner of the screen. Once your Renown bar is full, you reach a new Renown level. When you reach a new Renown level, you get a reward pack which contains a new hero card, Coins and new gear that can be equipped to that hero. When you upgrade a gear card, it reaches a new level. You'll face a few rooms full of different monsters you have to defeat to reach the end. Heroes take it in turns to unleash an attack or skill, and you can visibly see the order in which enemies and heroes move thanks to a fancy little icon. One of our favourite features of Warriors of Waterdeep is the dice roll you get on pretty much every move that isn't a special skill. A successful roll gives that particular move a secondary property, depending on the class. The PvP battles are similar to the PvE battles, which means that you can see if an attack will have an advantage or not, but it also means that you can get taunted and have other negative effects inflicted upon your characters.
